Good BBQ just pricey

Myself and my co-workers went in and yelled at for not ordering quick enough and asking to know what sides were available. The old lady was a smart ass said she really didn't want to serve us and they didn't need our business. I called the owner Brian and told him about her attitude he had many other complaints but we had no other help but to keep her this is a sorry response from the owner if you don't want business good you promised to make it right and havent. I advise all to go to dickies.

Brisket sandwich was awesome. Moist and not overdone with just the right amount of sauce! Second time eating here and each time was great.

Great place for dry ribs! Also the smoked tuna salad is the best I have ever eaten!!Outstanding staff and portions are PLENTY!

I enjoy the laid back, self serve type, atmosphere. You can refill your own drink. Some folks aren't used to this, however, I like it. The BBQ has a great flavor. I swap up and eat it dry sometimes and other times I smother it with their good sauce. I've tried about everything on the menu, you really can't go wrong. The BBQ sundae is always a great tasty option. Is it a 4 star restaurant, no, but a damn good place to enjoy some good BBQ.

Wonderful bbq for the money

Ordered the Brisket sandwich plate with potato salad and baked beans today. The brisket is unedible. It taste, looks and feels like it has been left out overnight, the potato salad taste sour and the deviled eggs are room temperature. I tried calling the store but I'm only getting an answering machine. I ended up eating just the top piece of bread for lunch....Terribly let down.

Beans were so good but not crazy bout the brisket dry. The guy took our order was college looking student with glasses Asked us if we needed our receipt but threw it away n my husband was disturbed n we wanted to eat their but put in our order as togo but we still sat there while others come n go. Peach cobbler was not what i was hoping it would be. the black dude,he checked on us n took care of us n our drinks n i felt blessed but the other frat guy didn’t seem to fit in. Trashy onions was really good n the tea was awesome but too sweet but got it half n half n i was sooo happy. Our order might have gotn mixed up from the way the frat guy with glasses took it but it sat there but the frat guy never checked on it. First timers

We tried this for the first time today. Pleased with the service, speed, and food. Got the daily special of chicken quarter and ribs with two sides and a bread as well as a pulled pork sandwich with two sides. No complaints on anything we ordered! We also got free drinks (with refills) to go with our meals.

They have great "smoked wings". I wish they had better sides but wings are good.

I purchased 1 full slab and 11/2 slab, baked beans, wings to carry-out. Got home and had 11 bones worth of ribs. Beans were like pork and beans. Ribs were very over-cooked. Paid way too much for this meal. Staff was very friendly but I would have been to. Have to try a place to know what it is like. Now I know.

One of the best Barbecues in Mississippi.

Brought my family today and the lady that works up front got frustrated with me because I didn't order my sandwiches all at the same time. I ordered each persons meal individually. She acted flustered and started murmuring that I need to order them all at same time. She turned to kitchen cook and sighed loudly and then said they can figure it out at the table, just fix the sandwiches. Then she argued with me that I didn't order the sides (which I ordered but she was paying more attention to the cook in the back and had such an attitude she didn't hear me). We walked in expecting a good meal and left frustrated. My 10 yo daughter observed everything and said "I don't want to come back here." We won't be back.

We eat here alot and for the most part the food is good. The service isn't great all the time and today they didn't have any smoked chicken???, not sure why if that is one of there menu items. I told them my order was to go and added a few side items. My food was not brought out to go nor did it contain any of the extra side items I paid for. Make sure to check your order. This isn't the first they have shorted me.

Consistently good bbq

I wanted to eat here a few times before I gave a review. I've eaten here 3 times now and it's been mediocre at best. Meat is always dry and the sides aren't anything special. The service has been terrible every time. Will not waste any more money here.

Ordered the pulled pork sandwich baked beans and fries....pork was a little dry not very flavorful, beans tasted like pork and beans with a little piece of sausage...all in all if you want good barbecue for around the same price, little willies is the place to go...

Love this place! Best BBQ in town.Best smoked yellowfin tuna dip period.Ribs are awesome! Wings are also one of my favorites. The Pig Sundae is the bomb!!

The brisket had too much fat. The peach cobbler was a chunk of biscuit dough.

I had the pulled pork plate with the potato salad and Mac and chs for the sides. Very satisfying! BBQ sauce and pork was flavorful, Mac and chs had a very nice depth and creaminess. The chunks of potato in the salad were large and reminded me of my grandma’s. This place pulled at my heartstrings a bit! Can’t wait to come back and try the rest!

Took 35 minutes for the food to come out,5 to go orders went out before I got my food,then the sides were wrong! However the food was delicious

My wife and I ordered two pull pork sandwich combo meal's dine in ($42) sat and waited 30 minutes for our food which came out cold and dry we immediately asked for the manager and we were told he was busy and it would take 30 minute to speak with him,so we waited until he was done with the rush, (all 5 orders ) he came out and state that they serve the food cold at times to get thru the lunch rush (it's 6 pm by the way) offered to remake the food and throw in some extras my wife excepted the offer the food came back out luke warm and bland.. never again I use to be a die hard customer ....I'm never coming back even the cashier came out and told me not to get any dessert because all they give you is crust from the cobbler

People I enjoy the food at Tay's Barbecue, my wife loved it to and she don't like alot of places.

Never Again This was my first time going to Tay's and I have to say there wasn't a warm welcome walking in . The staff was rude and rushing me to order. Once I got my food I was disappointed the meat was dry and didn't taste like much and the sides.. oh don't get me started I got Mac and cheese that taste like it was in a box for so long and the Cole slaw tasted like I was just eating raw cabbage with no flavor . Will not be returning to this place too many places that serve good bar b questions for a fraction of the price .

Took the family this evening. The staff was very friendly and the food was tasty. The ribs were really good!
